Pelosi's Prodigious Pig

“You know you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” – Barack Obama.

One of Obama’s favorite words is “irreversible”. He used it yesterday to describe the dire economic catastrophe that will surely result if we don’t pass the Democrats’ $900 billion Porky bill. Amazingly, he used the same “irreversible” label when describing the consequences of global warming. This is a very effective scare tactic, as long as you don’t overdo it. If the situation is as dire as the President says, then why is there so little stimulus in the Stimulus package?

In a fire and brimstone speech on the economy last night, he sought to further spread panic and fear among the masses and recalcitrant members of the Senate. He said he “values healthy debate” from Republicans, as long as they don’t “come to the table with the same tired arguments and worn ideas.” That means “Shut up, I won.” He insinuated that the bill will also address the “critical challenges of our addiction to foreign oil, soaring costs of healthcare, our failing schools, and crumbling bridges and roads and levies.” That means “Pork is good for you.”

The truth is that this was never intended to be a stimulus. This humongous pot-bellied pig was bred by Nancy Pelosi and her staff as the answer to her dream of funding every liberal cause that has been denied over the past thirty-six years. The liberal pork is so thick and greasy it will give the nation “irreversible” arterial sclerosis. It is quite simply the most enormous and staggeringly irresponsible transfer of wealth from private citizens to central government in the history of mankind. As Bart Simpson would say, it’s “Craptacular”. Obama is busy adding the lipstick, but it’s Pelosi’s Pig.
